Sharon is the head nurse of the Harbour Hospital. She has been working at Harbour for many years and qualified in 2008. She really enjoys the diversity of the job and the challenges it brings. Her favourite part of the job is theatre work and in-patient care.
Over the years Sharon has had a variety of pets that she has rescued, a one eyed cat called Molly, a crazy Labrador and a tortoise. Outside of work she has a busy family life with her husband and two sons. Sharon has recently taken up an interest in fitness. So far has completed two marathons and hopes to add other achievements to this in the near future.
Lindsey has been working for Harbour Veterinary Group since 2013. Prior to this she worked at Archway vets in Petersfield for 14 years. Lindsey studied veterinary nursing at Berkshire College of Agriculture where she gained her NVQ3 in Vet Nursing in 2003.
Lindsey spends her spare time with her Cocker Spaniels that she shows and breeds. She has a keen interest in canine reproduction, neonatology and hereditary diseases and its prevention.
Natalie is the Head Nurse at our Havant Branch and has worked for the group for over eight years. Natalie started her journey with Harbour as a veterinary nursing assistant and worked hard to train as a registered veterinary nurse qualifying in May 2013.
Natalie has one cat Amy and two Yorkshire Terriers called Tilly and Lady. Natalie enjoys long walks with her husband and dogs, catching up and spending quality time with friends and family.
Nicola has worked at Harbour Veterinary Group since June 2004; she qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2014. During work time Nicola enjoys nurse clinics and inpatient care.
Throughout Nicola’s career she has rescued many animals including cats, dogs, birds, guinea pigs and small rodents.
Lorraine started in 2008 as a student veterinary nurse, she then went onto to qualify as a registered veterinary nurse in 2012 and since then she has gone on to do her pet health counsellor course and
Lorraine owns a lovely 10 year old English Bull Terrier called Milo, who is currently on our blood donor list and has donated blood to various critical patients. Lorraine often walks Milo around Portchester Castle where he loves to run around with other dogs. In her spare time Lorraine enjoys a good work out at the gym and also enjoys a nice cold cocktail or two in a bar.
Jess has been here since 2011 and qualified as a registered vet nurse in 2016. Jess loves the variety and challenges that her job brings and would like to specialise in anaesthesia in the future. She has her own menagerie at home with her Labrador cross, three cats, two frogs, two snakes and fish. In her spare time she enjoys cycling with her family and her dog, swimming and riding motorcycles with her boyfriend when the weather is good!
Charlie is a qualified veterinary nurse and joined Harbour vets in 2010. She worked for the day team for 6 years and joined the MiNightVet team in October 2016 to continue her veterinary nursing in the out of hours and emergency clinic. Charlie is beginning a certificate in VN ECC this year and enjoys one to one inpatient care on the ward and dealing with the unpredictability and interesting cases that working during the night brings!
Charlie has three dogs, a three legged cat and has had other animals including exotics and horses in the past. In her spare time she likes to groom animals as she is also a qualified dog groomer and walk her dogs.
Hayley started nursing 20 years ago originally as a Saturday nurse for our Waterlooville practice; before starting her veterinary nurse training Hayley had volunteered with the PDSA and PAT dogs.
Following qualification in 2004 Hayley worked for other practices to increase her knowledge and experience including working at a referral practice. Hayley really enjoys supporting the new trainee nurses and was one of the main reasons Hayley has returned to Harbour Veterinary Group.
In between working for Harbour and the other veterinary practices Hayley has had two children, hand reared two kittens and rescued one dog and one cat.
Sarah began her Harbour journey as a Saturday nurse at the tender age of 16 and started full time as a veterinary nursing assistant in August 2008. In December 2015 Sarah completed her nurse training and qualified as a registered veterinary nurse. Sarah has a very good knowledge of the clients in Waterlooville and particularly enjoys client and patient contact when taking nurse clinics.
Sarah has a hyperactive Cocker Spaniel called Ryan and enjoys taking him to new places for long walks and going to fun dog shows. Sarah also enjoys tennis, socialising with friends and Photoshop programming on her laptop. Sarah’s future aspirations is to further her career by studying for further qualifications in veterinary nursing and bereavement counselling.
Beth started working for Harbour in October 2013 as an animal nursing assistant. She started her veterinary nurse training in January 2015 as one of the youngest trainees Harbour has ever had and qualified in July 2017. Beth has a pet tortoise called Crush and loves all types of animals.
Rebecca joined Harbour Vets in August 2008. She completed the Animal Nursing Assistant qualification and went on to qualify as an registered veterinary nurse in January 2013. Rebecca’s favourite area at work is theatre and loves seeing and assisting with operations. She is fascinated by anatomy and how the body works.
Outside of work she has a keen interest in health and fitness, likes spending time with her husband and daughter, cooking, crossfit and running with her Hungarian Vizsla ‘Bosun’.
Kelly qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2010. She joined Harbour Minight Vet in August 2016 when it was launched. Kelly enjoys all aspects of her job, especially the extra TLC that she can give them during a night shift. Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her Springer Spaniel, Pluto and going to the theatre to see concerts and musicals.
Savannah began her veterinary career as a receptionist in 2013 but realising her passion for animals transferred to nursing to be a veterinary nursing assistant. Savannah began her veterinary nurse training in 2015 and is due to qualify in the summer of 2017. Savannah has a keen interest in animals since acquiring her first kitten ‘Boston’ when she was five years old. She enjoys theatre work especially assisting with orthopaedic surgery. Outside of work Savannah likes spending time with family and walks along the beach in Southsea.
Marie began her Harbour journey in 2014 at the Hayling Island practice. Marie is currently a second year student studying for her Veterinary Nursing qualification and really loves what she does.
Marie has a Jack Russell cross Chihuahua called Meg and a six year old goldfish called Bob. When Marie is not studying for her nursing exams she enjoys spending time outside exploring new places to walk Meg, getting stuck into a good book or trying to keep fit in the gym.
Olivia has been with Harbour Veterinary Group since 2009. She is in the final stages of her training. Olivia’s favourite part of the job is looking after the inpatients and making sure they have all had cuddles. In her spare time Olivia enjoys spending time with her daughter and walking her two dogs.
Annie has been working for Harbour Veterinary Group for two years and is currently training as a student veterinary nurse. Annie really enjoys her job and loves working with the team at the Waterlooville Practice.
Annie moved from the Midlands two years ago to pursue her dream to become a veterinary nurse. Annie previously worked for a large animal charity training and rehoming dogs.
Annie loves exotic pets and currently owns a bearded dragon called Squirt and two rats called Bryan and Dave. She enjoys spending her time with friends and visiting family and going to the beach.
Emma has worked at our Hayling Island practice for many years and considers it her second home, she’s seen many generations of pets from the same families and hopes to still see them for many years to come . Emma is a keen cat person and always names them after her second passion in life – rugby.
Vicky has been working for Harbour Veterinary Group since 1998. She started out as a Saturday girl at our Waterlooville surgery before being taken on full time and transferring to the main hospital. After all these years Vicky still has a deep passion for her work and enjoy all areas of it. At home Vicky owns a cat called Mabel and in her spare time she likes to keep fit and catch up with friends and family.
Evee has been with Harbour Veterinary Group since 2008, she joined us after completing an Animal Management course at college for two years. Evee works at our North End hospital and also covers at the Southsea branch on Villiers road.
Evee has three cats, two moggies that were rescued as stray kittens from the practice and a very impressive Maine Coon cat.
In her spare time Evee enjoys spending time gardening and reading, and likes relaxing after work by playing games on her games consoles.
Nicky has been working for the Harbour Veterinary Group since 2004; she started her career off in our Hayling Island Practice but now works at the Southsea practice. Nicky has two horses one of which she has had over 20 years, this takes up most of her spare time but when she isn’t busy looking after them she enjoys spending time with her Golden Retriever and taking him for country walks.
Millie has been working as a VNA at the North End and Waterlooville practices since 2015 after completing a degree in Zoology. Millie has a large brown Labradoodle called Barney who Millie loves to take on hikes around the countryside. Millie has also managed to acquire a stray hamster while working at Harbour and has been told to expect many more! Millie really enjoys working with the team and all the animals she meets.
Emma has been working for Harbour veterinary group since 2012. She has mainly been working at the Havant surgery but has also been at the Waterlooville, Hayling and Northend branch. She with her family and cat, Fizzgig that she rescued from Northend and her gorgeous German Shepherd, Skye. Emma loves being with her family and she loves her job and the team at Havant surgery, she also loves how rewarding her job is. Emma likes a good chat with all the clients and a cuddle with their pets.
Amy has been working at the Hayling Island branch of Harbour veterinary group since July 2015, training alongside the team to become a qualified veterinary nurse. Amy has always been interested in neurology, cats especially, where she has always had them as a part of her life growing up seeing their various behaviours and habits. Amy’s spare time is spent relaxing at home with her family and abundance of cat’s, as well as going to the gym.
Kate first started working at Harbour in 2004 at our Havant branch. After working there for two years Kate moved to Oxfordshire. In 2008 Kate returned to Portsmouth and started working at our Waterlooville practice and has been there ever since. Kate enjoys working at Waterlooville and knows lots of their clients very well. Kate enjoys working on reception and helping inpatients before and after operations. Kate has an interest in radiography and finds it fascinating and is very excited that Waterlooville now has digital radiography.
Kate lives in Portsmouth with her husband and two children and their cat called Tim and hamster called Rosie.
Heather started working for Harbour in September 2015 at the Waterlooville practice doing general nursing. Heather loved her time at Waterlooville but decided to go travelling to Asia, Australia and New Zealand. After a brilliant year away she returned to Harbour. Heather mainly works at Waterlooville but also helps out at the other branches and the hospital.
In the future Heather would like to start her veterinary nurse training and become a qualified veterinary nurse. Heather has a dog, a very happy chocolate Labrador called Huey.
Simon graduated from Hartpury College in 2007 with a degree in Veterinary Health Studies. He has worked for Harbour Veterinary Group since 2008 and has a common interest in both surgery and laboratory diagnostics. Outside of work Simon is a keen amateur wildlife photographer and enjoys going to the gym.
Zoe has been working for the practice since 1999. She started at our Havant surgery, but now works at the main hospital in Northend. She lives at home with her family and Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Betty. Zoe is an amateur boxer and coaches a youth team in her spare time. She also enjoys taking part in mud runs and socialising with friends.
Harriet started working for Harbour in March 2016 her goal is to begin her training as a RVN. Harriet’s lovely old lady feline is her world so fully understands the impact and importance that animals have on our lives and this comes across in her work. Outside of work Harriet spends a lot of time with her cat, friends and family. Harriet also likes to volunteer at rescue centres as much as she can.
