Kim has worked for Harbour Veterinary Group for 30 years and began her Harbour Journey as Receptionist when the practice was formally known as Pratt Nunn & Partners and then after having a family progressed into the Administration and Management role. She has witnessed the growth of the practice including being involved with the Hospital’s first Royal College of Veterinary Surgeon’s Hospital accreditation back in 1998. Kim lives locally with her husband and family including her Cocker Spaniel, Ollie, Dachshund, Banger and three cats, Dave, Marmite and Nugget.
Kim won the CVS Practice Manager of the Year Award in 2015.
Pene has always had a love for animals and at the age of 19 was lucky enough to be accepted into the veterinary world at Harbour Vets. Pene spent some years working at our Havant branch as head nurse. Following the birth of her daughter Pene began her reception career at the nospital in North End where she is now head receptionist.
Not long after starting at North End, Pene rescued an abandoned Collie puppy that she spent 14 happy years with until recently. Pene has also rescued two cats through the practice and recently has rescued a rabbit that she enjoys looking after. Pene’s spare time is taken up with her family and country walks with her working Cocker Spaniel Poppy. Pene has also recently taken up running in an attempt to get fit.
Janie has worked at the hospital since 2002 and loves her job, every day brings something different, and there are always new things to learn and new people and pets to meet.
At home Janie as Woody a wirehaired Hungarian Viszla and two cats, Norman a domestic short haired who was left on our reception desk at five weeks old and Tula a British short hair who was no longer wanted by her previous owner after breaking her leg.
Outside of work Janie loves taking Woody for long walks going to the gym with her daughter and socialising.
Janet has been a receptionist at Harbour Veterinary Hospital since 2005 following a similar position with a veterinary practice in Reading. Janet has a special interest in canine behaviour and has completed a number of courses. Janet helps with local rescue centres and has a rescue dog of her own called Bo.
Janet’s other interests include travel especially to unusual places and last year spent two weeks in Mongolia and China. Janet belongs to the local singing group and enjoys horse riding and clay pigeon shooting when she gets the opportunity although Janet has cut her hours down over the last few years to look after her grandson her work at Harbour gives her great satisfaction especially when she can help clients cope with the loss of a much loved pet.
Sue started in July as a receptionist for MiNightVet our dedicated out of hours service. She enjoys socialising and spending time with family, friends and looking after her grandchildren. When Sue is not helping out covering day time holidays on reception she enjoys reading, going to the cinema, gardening and cooking.
Carly says she has always had a great affection for animals, and was thrilled to be offered a receptionist position at Harbour Veterinary Group. Carly has always been surrounded by pets which now include: chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, pigmy goats, and two horses.
Her other hobbies include road cycling and horse riding and the occasional round of golf.
Debra is a receptionist at the hospital in North End and has worked in the veterinary industry since 2004.
Debra has two Springer Spaniels and a corn snake. Debra is a busy person outside of work with her family and grandchild and loves to socialise and cycle.
